Freedom

People come and go to and from our lives like the tide. Some are meant to stay for a couple of chapters in our book of life and some are meant for just one. No matter what it looks like, it is to be embraced for what it becomes, how it evolves and then released when and if the time comes to release it. It's Alpha and Omega, the beginning and ending, life and death. Sometimes all we are meant to experience is just a chapter. And that's ok. It's beautiful for the memories and lessons it leaves behind!

Understanding that we are not to be attached to anything, is a very important lesson to life itself. I think what limits us is that we must completely trust ourselves with the perceptions of what we believe is right. The idea is to understand that what others think doesn't matter. No one lives our life. We live our life. And when someone judges our decisions, that is none of our business. We have to remember this every time someone tries to challenge the way we see life. Life is not a one size fits all approach. It is not our place to decide other people's life choices for them. We all have our own to create.

We all need people in our lives who get it; who understand how each of us deserves to live life the manner in which we wish to experience it on our own terms. Especially as we heal. How many people can honestly love each other unconditionally? Not attached to outcomes. No expectations. Just look at how divided we all are as a collective these days. It's exhausting.

Life is based on how you look at every situation, every challenge, every experience. Do you want to see these experiences as tragedies? I certainly don't. I refuse to. It was because of the catalyst in my life that I now know how I wish to live the rest of it. It may look unusual from a normative standard, but I am not one to comply with conformity. For me, the catalyst was my key to freedom.
